PLUR Factory started with a simple belief: the best nights happen when everyone looks out for each other. We're a collective of DJs, producers, and community builders based in San Diego, California who host electronic music events that feel fundamentally different from the typical club night. No velvet ropes, no VIP hierarchy, no bullsh*t — just music, movement, and genuine human connection.
Born in San Diego's vibrant underground EDM scene, we recognized a gap in the local event landscape. The city has world-class venues and big-budget promoters, but few events that truly center the community itself. We chose to stay grassroots — because the best energy doesn't come from production budgets, it comes from people who actually care about the music and the people around them.
PLUR — Peace, Love, Unity, Respect — is the original ethos of rave culture, born in the New York warehouse scene of the early 1990s and carried forward by generations of electronic music lovers worldwide. At PLUR Factory, these aren't just words on a flyer. They're the operating principles behind every event we produce, every artist we book, and every decision we make.
Our San Diego roots run deep. San Diego's geography — coastal, diverse, connected to both LA and Tijuana — has always made it a natural crossroads for electronic music styles. House from Chicago, techno from Detroit, bass music from the UK, regional sounds from across Baja California — they all pass through San Diego's scene, and PLUR Factory is where they collide on the dance floor.
We started hosting small warehouse events and underground gatherings, building a loyal crew of regulars who came back not just for the lineup, but for the atmosphere we cultivate together. Our monthly events blend electronic music with intentional community programming: mindfulness breaks between sets, harm reduction resources at the door, and an explicit no-tolerance policy for harassment or disrespect of any kind.
Our resident DJ collective spans genres — deep house, progressive trance, drum & bass, melodic techno, and everything in between. Since our founding, PLUR Factory has grown into one of San Diego's most recognized independent EDM brands.
